Renting metal buildings as a residence can be a good idea, since normally the rents would be lower. But should you buy insurance, you darn right you should.
You obviously wouldn't need insurance if it was a metal storage unit you were renting, unless of course you had very valuable things you were storing.
Even if you don't
believe that you own very much, you would be amazed
at how fast things add up when you need to repair or
replace them. Your landlord will certainly have some
type of homeowners insurance yet their policy does
not cover you or your belongings, only the building
in which you live. For these reasons it is
imperative that renters should really consider
purchasing an insurance plan that will cover them
and their belongings.
